I had a M&S sofa and two chairs I had them for just over a year and ended up giving them away they were the most poorly made uncomfortable pile of rubbish.
I got them from a normal M&S store not a outlet and i paid extra for stain guard and i also purchased arm covers which an extra couple of hundred pounds.|I will never purchase an item of furniture from M&S again.

That suprises me Hadley as we have had two lots of M&S sofas now, one from M&S and one from Deeside Furniture. Both have been very comfortable and fantastic quality. In fact the first sofa and chair is now 11 years old and my dad has it in his second lounge. It is still immaculate and in wonderful condition.

I think maybe you were unlucky Hadley - we've had a sofa for about 18 months and it is so comfortable - bought in store not at clearance centre. We've also had several beds from M&S over the years and they have all been comfortable & well-made.
  • Furniture homes in Cheshire (Crewe) sells branded furniture. My brother got a dark wood dining table and display cabinet from there that was in the Next catalogue at less than half price.

But I'm the real money saver here because I had his old one ; )

Don't know if they are nationwide.
  • I'm after an oak dining table with 6 chairs and I quite like the Marks and Spencer ones. Does anybody know of any places in Bristol/Cardiff area that sell returned M & S furniture in Bristol/Cardiff area?

    Thanks
  • I came across this shop/warehouse by chance.
    C & H furniture Newport road, Cardiff, CF23 9AE, 029 2048 4433

They defianately sell reduced M&S furniture as I could see the boxes in the back, and they had the chest of drawers I had recently bought from M& S in the shop!
It was a warehouse and I agree with a previous poster that said the furniture doesn't look as nice in a warehouse setting but you might just find what you're after. Hope this helps someone!
  • Hi westbridge furniture make m@s sofas.
Thay have a factory shop in birkenhead wirral.
with 600 to 800 sofas to go from huge showroom.
we bought two abbey leather sofas and saved £1600 on the two
    off m@s price.
  • has anyone been to the one in colne? what were the prices like? it's sort of near me but still a little trek and wonder if it was worth making an effort. thanks

Its NOT inside Boundary Mills but down past Asda in the trading estate. stock rotates fairly quickly so it is hit and miss what they have.

Oswaldtwistle Mills in Accrington, Lancashire has an outlet.

I got my Large sofa for £399 from there last year. It is over £1000 in their website. The delivery men had to take out my very large window to get it in and only charged me £30 for delivery. (I live local though)

It is comfy and still looks like new despite its cream/yellowy/mustardy colour, a bargin.
Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.
  • Hi,

Please could someone let me know the name of the outlet in Colne, that has been mentioned, somewhere near Boundary Mill, Colne, Lancashire.

    Many thanks,

    Motown Lady
