    it's not

firefox only for the foreseeable future according to beerhunter.

That may be the case for technical users...I would imagine it would be harder to shift Mr Average Joe's opinions. All he's used to is Microsoft Windows and IE.

FF is essentially open source software. IE isn't. This is why plugins such as propertybee are only available for FF.

I've never found FF slow, but then I do have a very fast connection so maybe I wouldn't notice.

Firefox is slow and full of bugs !

Offtop: I noticed there is a guy from GHPC who tracks 75% of MY properties (doing the gollum's voice), should I be worried ?
No. If I'm at a 10 minute loose end, I'll do entire counties. I've no intention of buying any house for years. Or in 99% of the places I look.

And here is a speedtest I have just done immediately for the purposes of this post (0.1Mbps):

PN, that site is sponsored by a certain ISP to, erm, exaggerate figures in their favour so isn't accurate at all.

IE is for illiterates who were fed the M$ poison pill in the late 90's.

    Q. What have pcs and air conditioning got in common?

    A. They both stop working when windows are open.:D
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

    I'm sticking to Firefox.

I first used browsers before they had graphics then Netscape came along complete with pictures and became the worlds dominant browser. Had a few problem though, you had to turn the graphics off about midday as the US was coming online and the whole web slowed badly.

Then the evil Microsoft came along and gave IE away free with all PCs pretty much killing Netscape. Since then IE took over bringing along all it bugs and advert popups. i have seen IE pretty much kill computers with all its hacked infections, monitors filling up with dozens of of IE windows in a few seconds full of !!!!!! adverts even from what looked non !!!!!! sites.

Firefox came along and its anti pop up software illustrated its superiority. No more unwanted pop ups or down loads. As for the hundreds of pluggins it made it essential.

Why anyone uses IE bewilders me. Especially when Firefox updates its protection daily and Microsoft seasonally.

Here is the link to the BBCs video on Firefox 3 which speeds up the internet and lots of other functions.
