If you're looking to get a cheap 'n' cheerful set-top box to ready an analogue telly for the digital switchover, Tesco has one for £12.95 in most larger 'Extra' stores. It's also available online, but the postage/collect-in-store cost of £4.85 makes it a poor deal bought that way.

What's it got?

It's about as basic as they come, but has a remote control and 7-day electronic programme guide (EPG).

If you're planning a special trip to get one, be sure to phone your local Tesco and check stock first.

Just bought one of these from Tesco today. Quick set up, easy to use, and good picture. Not the fanciest set box around but for £12.95 it works fine.

I have just returned from my local Tesco, which is not an extra store, and they had these boxes in stock.:T

I got one of these boxes. They are ok and do the job.
My only gripe is that you can not change the layout when looking to see whats on. You have to view each channel individualy to see whats on next, whereas with our other box, all channels are displayed at once so we can see at a glance whats on now/next! Still, at £13 i'm not going to make an issue of it -
