hi,
I think my printer has had its day ... Its an Epson C86 photo edition and its been a good un while its lasted ...
I need a printer which is economical, I mainly print for uni but I like having the option to do my photos on it too.
There seems to be so many options - what are the ones that will be relevant? any advice from experience?
Thanks
Jen

For cheap good quality prints. I have had no problems with the HP Photosmart range. The range are inkjet based and made to do photo's if used with photo paper. The range also includes scanners and copiers built in. The only problem, as with most printers are the cartridges. Depending on your quantity and type of printing, you could find yourself drinking through them. But unfortunately this seems to be the way it is with cheap affordable printers - they cost more in the long run! (You can use refills, but I was always told that these can damage the printer heads. Not too sure if that is still the case with newer printers)
What kind of a budget do you have in mind?0 -
hi,
I havent a clue reallly ... I may be better paying a bit more and then at least the long term costs arent too high. I would like to buy another for a few years at least ....
I'm so annoyed that such a simple fault on my old one can make the whole thing unworkable .... its only the rollers that take the paper in that seem to be broke.
