Kabuki brush -please recommend a good one

can anyone recommend a good very soft kabuki brush. I have one that came with some mabelline mineral makeup but it scratches/irritates my skin a bit.

Kabouki brushes by their very nature are a little on the stiff side. A softer brush wouldn't normally be stiff enough to "buff" and blend the mineral make up. I've not felt the brush that comes with the mabelline mineral make up so I don't know how scratchy it is, but you could try crown brush, they have quite a large range of reasonably priced make up brushes and a few different kaboukis here http://www.crownbrush.co.uk/kabouki.html . It's worth giving them a call and asking which is the softest, they're generally very helpful.

I would go to the 'original' mineral make up brand Bare Escentuals. If you can't track them down direct, you can usually get them from Ebay.

i have used a BE normal brush and a kabuki - the kabuki is not quite as soft as the other but I wouldn't have described it as scratchy, so perhaps the Maybelline one is cheaper quality.

It is the pink one, i know it is £9.99 but i've had it a few months and it really makes applying the mineral make up so much easier and its lovely and soft

I've just bought that pink one from EB to take on hols. I've also got their kabuki and love it. But then I do find EB to be the best mineral make up, for me anyway and Nicola is so nice there. She helped me choose a darker shade for when I hopefully get a nice tan plus sent me a free sample of another foundation to try - I've been using the healing foundation so far which has suited me so well.

  • Hiya,
I recently bought the Boots No 7 kabuki brush and it sheds like a 'dont know what!'
I have a hairy chest after I've used it!
Think it was about a tenner.

MAC's kabuki is supposed to be good.....no idea how much they cost though.

I use the long handled kabuki brush by everyday minerals. they're an american company but shipping is cheap (it just takes 2 weeks to get here). I used them as an alternative to bare escentuals as they're way too over priced. the everyday minerals one is $10. Plus you get free samples everytime you order.
