Morning
I was on another forum, and someone said that you can pay a fee of £30 to stop your name being printed in the newspaper? Has anyone ever heard of this?
Thank you

What they may have meant is you can make an application to the court to stay the advertisment (which has a fee of £40.00). This is by no means guaranteed to be granted though unless you have a very good reason x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Have heard of several who have applied to the judge for it not to go into paper but this is the first time a fee has been mentioned

If you ask the judge at the time of presenting your petition then there is no extra fee but if it is after your petition or as the result of a creditor making you bankrupt and you dont attend the hearing - there is a fee.
We have a had a few from a creditors petition - one was a vicar who thought it may affect people donating to the church and others have been because fo violent ex's etc. x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000
