..or know how to use the spacebar, etc etc. Luckily, the OP is relying on the fact that a signficant chunk of web users have very basic knowledge, so this may well prevent the real idiots copying images.

Agreed - it feels unprofessional - can you afford to alienate any significant proportion of potential buyers?
I'm sticking with quickly reporting infringments on my pictures to eBay - it's worked pretty well up till now.0 -
But in the greater scheme of things is it really such a big deal?

What's the problem with plagiarism? I think the main problem is that most people do not like being exploited by others. Pictures are not worthless - they sell items. haven't read this whole thread. But.......if you "Steal" another persons photo it may be because you don't even have the item for sale.
