i dont see the fuss about copying photos. I never mind but obviously it is out of order if you are selling the same thing at the same time.

Copying photos? It doesn't show the real item's condition and may mislead bidders as to the real item's looks and condition.

Its happened to me before and It just made me really angry. I ended up emailing the seller and let them know what I thought of them and before I had a chance to report to Ebay they withdrew the auction.

To be honest if the seller asked me after my auction had finished to use my photo then I wouldn't have minded.It is just manners at the end of the day.

I had this problem too and they listed at the same time as me which made matters worse, I emailed them and reported them to ebay but got a really threatening message back from the other ebayer. i have now blocked them from ever bidding on my items just incase they tried to be backhanded

Yeah, I'd recommend against such a course of emailing them - best to let eBay deal with it rather than risk such a reaction!

The best course of action is to place a special HTML code within your listings that will prevent anyone copying your pics.
If a person trys to right click it says copyrighted!!

Unless they disable scripts, peek into the HTML for the direct link, or have a floating toolbar, like I do. The best way to protect your pics is to customise them with your user id.

Unauthorised linking to photos is not permitted: you cannot link to somebody else's picture (so it appears in your listing) without the owner's permission.
