2 for 1 beauty treatments

Feel Good drinks are offering 2 for 1 beauty treatments when you buy a drink with a special coupon attached. The offer runs til 31 March 2006, so handy for all that Christmas party preparation.

You can either give the free treatment to a friend or take it yourself, up to one month later. It doesn't say in the T&Cs, but, because the voucher says the free treatment must be the same value or less, I'm thinking you can have two different treatments.

The link below has a list of all participating salons (you need Flash).

    Treatments for Men

No longer do people snigger at the idea of a man visiting a health and beauty salon. The trouble is that most men are vain; they try to improve their look in other ways, working out, for example, wearing aftershave, trendy hairstyles etc. Additionally many young men worry about spots and use lots of different lotions and potions to try to keep them at bay. Many men secretly use their partners face and hand creams from time to time, particularly after shaving with a blunt razor blade.

The fact is many men would benefit from a trip to their local therapist; 'Body Treatment' is what we at BABTAC like to refer to as the kind of treatments suitable for the male sector. The male market for skin care etc is the fastest growing in Europe, increasing by 35% according to a European Cosmetics Market report.

Obviously a lot of men might have a problem dealing with a visit to their local 'Face of Beauty' salon, however there are forward thinking salons dedicated entirely to male treatments and others with areas specifically designed for men. Health Spas and fitness clubs often have therapists who treat men, and a mobile therapist who is perhaps treating the chap's partner would also perhaps be well placed to give a manicure or suggest a good facial scrub.

Let's take a look at the 'Body Treatments' that men are now considering. Obviously Manicure and Pedicure are good ones, well-groomed hands can make a man feel more confident about his appearance, particularly when going to an interview perhaps? Transforming those chipped and uneven claws into something that a prospective employer would be happy to shake in greeting. Manicure is generally more important than Pedicure in this particular instance!

How many men, having shaved, feel that their face must have had a good going over with sand paper at the same time. A therapist can help with this, suggesting one or two skin care products that will sooth this feeling, but also that will give you a closer shave. Women like a man with a smooth face; They spend a lot of time getting a soft, smooth complexion of their own and don't then want to rub it up against something resembling a cheese grater.

Many therapists are trained in massage, this is great for stress management, helping you feel more relaxed, soothing the aches and pains around the body. Sports massage is another treatment offered by some therapists and several are now employed alongside the Physio by one or two rugby and football clubs.

As a man gets older, other treatments might be more suitable perhaps, slimming and body toning treatments to help you retain that slim masculine physique. As some men begin to lose the hair on their head, it starts to appear on other parts of the body, not everyone wants this and a therapist can help in the removal of this unwanted hair.

Ladies, if your partner is thinking about going to a therapist, don't tease him, encourage him, book a treatment for yourself and make one for him as well. Help New Millennium man to improve himself. You will also benefit.

HEYYYY....now my post makes no sense because OP has taken out the "hey girlies" line which was originally at the top of the post!

    put it back ;)
  • After looking at the feelgooddrinks website and clicking on the 2 for 1 offer then looking for participating salons I found the following:
"Upon booking, the salon will offer you a free treatment up to the value of that you pay for the first treatment.Salons may place a maximum value on free treatment or restrict the range of the free treatments offered." You can pass the voucher on to a third party or use yourself up to a month after the first treatment. So BEWARE,you have to have ONE treatment first then get the second free, hence 2 for 1.If you have beauty treatments anyway, fair enough.Personally I can't afford them.
