Factory Outlets!

Somerset may be to far for you to travel but Clarks had their HQ and factories in Street in Somerset. Clarks Village in Street was the first Outlet Centre in the country (I think) - it is built around some of the old Clarks buildings. The centre has a very good Clarks seconds' shop and better still the village is full of discounted shoe shops. Just avoid the period before kids go back to school!
There's a Monsoon too.

McArthur Glenn at Swindon has a Clarks but no Monsoon. Bicester Village has both. However, Swindon has a Hobbs!!!

i would say that the gunners wharf in portsmouth is much nearer to you, think the train goes there from croydon? i went to biscester a few weeks back and it was a waste of time for me. it's great if you like expensive clothes but for normal high st stuff it was rubbish, the best shop for me was cath kidson!

Sorry to dissappoint but the Monsoon in Gun Wharf closed a couple of months ago (a very sad day) still worth it for Karen Millen

Yes was a shame it went, as did Oasis. Not much reason for me to go there now unfortunately although do occasionally see some bits in Next and M&S.
