Sorry, there are already more people in my house than I have seats, on account of it being rugby day. :j Only half the people are here, too.
The slow cooker is full of stew, and I'm just making a cauliflower cheese in case there's not enough. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Melt 150g of chocolate, 2 tbsp water and 100g of butter slowly in a bowl over a pan of barely simmering water. Pour over the cake and leave to set. It will set firm but not so much that it cracks.
Can I do this with white chocolate too? I thought there was something different about white chocolate so it might not work the same?
My mates ate all my cake so now I have to bake more.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
White choc is a bit tricksy Mr B, it doesn't melt easily. But if you do it slowly, stirring all the time I think you might pull it off.0

Same amount of butter & water then? I have to confess that I only had 70g of butter left to do the last one, instead of 100g. It didn't seem to matter. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
MBE - I am SO impressed! I read all your old threads this afternoon with a cuppa (didn't have much else to do) and you now rival the lovely Jamie O in my eyes! Not bad sweetie!0

When I was making thriftlady's icing I had a horrible feeling I'd done it before.:rotfl:
