aldi hard drive recorder - anyone get one???

Hi,
Did anyone get one of the hard drive recorders from aldi, i seem to remember they were going a few weeks back, it may be time for a purchase if theres any left , and some folk can vouch for it's quality etc.

Bought one when they went on sale. Had to take it back after days of messing about with it. Couldn't hear soundtrack on pre-recorded dvds, although someone on here kindly suggested a fix for that, but also, couldn't "initialize" (i.e. format) recordable dvds on it, so couldn't record to dvd.

Hdd side worked really well, and the timeshift function was brilliant.

Our Aldi store said ours was the only one that had been returned there, so could be we were unlucky, but there were one or two other adverse comments on here, and a suggestion that a Lite-on machine from Curry's is a better bet.

Have a look a week or two back on the Grabbit board.
