I am in a similar position, a member of a good local government pension scheme but with my debts I have decided to come out of the scheme as although it's good I would rather get my debts paid off quicker and I can always re-join the scheme when I can afford to pay into it, I don't see the point right now of trying to get more spare money for when I'm older when I'm so skint now!Money doesn't make you happy so I'm skint but cheerful :beer:0

Is the £50 packed lunch/weekly shop figure for the month or just a week?
I can understand where you're coming from with the pets, my 2 dogs are like children to meMoney doesn't make you happy so I'm skint but cheerful :beer:0 -

The £50 is for the month, I try to stick to £10 a week, normally don't spend as much as that though but I like to have a cushion, just in case!!
I eat no frills food the pets eat premium food!! go figure :rolleyes:0 -
Chooks that's exactly how my house works, cheap stuff for me and OH and then the dogs get all the luxuries they want! They're worth it though aren't they
