When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Anyway today i have/will
Have a good day everyone:D

Candy - good luck for the interview.

Hi,
Thanks for the good luck ~ made me smile that you remembered :j (makes me feel loved - THANK YOU!!!)
Yes, today is interview day, just on the net looking at their website. The company is a major employer where I live, so really want the job.
But, before the interview (15:30  ~ am a bit nervous) I am popping to see an agency that I used to work for. The consultant kept my number from a previous job, called me out of the blue for an interview for the job I am currently contracting on. Anyhow, about 2 weeks ago called the agency to speak to her and they told me that she had left. So, about a week ago, I got an email from her saying where she was, and what she was doing. So the upshot is, that I am going to register with this other agency as well. Need to tink on my toes, as life might get a bit complicated otherwise!
Oh, and had a telephone interview Wednesday for yet another job (different agency again), and yesterday was informed that they would like to see me for a face to face interview! :j.
As I am off work today, I had to leave my holiday form for my manager to sign (she was out of the office yesterday). When 'management' asked me what the holiday was for, I replied I have an interview, their response was 'oh'. I need to get my backside into gear, as my contract runs out at the end of July (just in time for all the graduates ~ Thanks )
So, to the task in hand:
Today I have/will do:- checked internet banking
- moved money and paid phone bill (already had a reminder)
- done daily clicks
- hung washing out to line dry (at the moment, I live on a building site, so there is loads of dust ~ I think they call it Urban Regeneration)
- buy a bus ticket that I can use all day, as I think that I will be making 2 return trips to town today

PS also had exactly £25 in tesco clubcard vouchers, so have ordered £50 of wine double-up tokens, 12 bottles for the price of delivery! how could I forget that? who wants a vino? Bit early maybe...
And another edit - just called up my breakdown company and downgraded to their standard one (get it through civil service so cheaper than RAC/AA quidco), saved £25! So that gives me a bit more breathing space (plus it's OH's birthday in a couple of weeks and he'll need a pressie!)0 -
