    If you are in the position of being able to pay off your debts, surely at the very least morally you are obliged to do so? If you default "purposely" then it simply means that others ( who may not be as fortunate as you with respect to income) will end up paying more and therefore be in even more trouble. How could that possibly be construed as fair? You spent the money.............
