Has anyone heard of getmorematernitypay.com?

I came across this company offering potential work for pregnant women or women with small kids and I wondered if anyone has heard of them?

http://www.getmorematernitypay.com

I have no idea what they do or why and I am worried about entering my details into their site until I can find our more about them. Can anyone help?

Thanks.

  • This looks like the format of a lot of Forever Living websites - not trying to wind up any FL-ers that are on here - in that they get you to sign up for info and then try to get you selling ... It's also something that Kleeneeze do, knowing that very few people would ask for info if they knew what they were going to be selling! My belief is that if they aren't willing to show you what it's about, it's generally not worth knowing.

Good luck topping up the maternity pay, though ;)

Yes I must admit I did have similar thoughts. I know about the FL scheme as they keep calling me and trying to get me on board but I do not want to do that.

I am sure something will come up. Only 23 weeks till I meet baby number two :) so too late to find employment and secure maternity benefits now :(

  • That website is registered to the same person as this one

So it looks like this is probably not a scheme aimed at pregnant women, but just a general "how to make a million" type selling scheme. If you really could earn £50,000 a month for just one hour's work a day, we'd all be doing it :D

  • yep I see alarm bells ringing too...!

Perhaps an idea for another thread, start one entitled 'How can new mums earn some extra cash'

Im sure there must be some good ideas out there...? I wonder what other people have done. Perhaps give some info on your background/skills. I know people who've setup websites from home, teaches who've done some exam marking, my mum did some typing for a private doc, etc...
  • I am a skilled software and web developer and I have done a bit of freelance work in this area.

The only problem is that when you take on a development project, it often ends up being larger than originally planned and the problem is with the level of commitment that is required. For example, If I take on sosmething now that involves me needing to complete backups and perform maintenance etc. then once I go on maternity leave, there is nobody to continue this - clients won't generally be too happy with that!

I do have one ongoing project that will continue but I can't commit to much more than that on the software front unless it is a develop and sever once complete - but it doesn't usually work like that.

  • I do two things from home as a money earner with children. One is selling Usborne books for children (NOT that infamous book club thing) and the other is tutoring. The tutoring is hard brain work, which is welcome when you're normally used to spit and drool, and the Usborne thing is just fun - gets me (and the kids) out and socialising, which is always a good thing!

I think there are so many scams though, it's difficult when you're desperate to stay with your kids and need some money too ...
