Barclay's active saver question.

Hi,

I have a Barclay's Active saver, I also have a current account.
With the active saver I have a cash card.

I haven't had this account long and still unsure how to use it.

I know i can transfer money online between accounts, and I know I can withdraw £300 a day from Barclay's cash machines.

But how do i transfer money in Branch, between accounts, do I fill in a form or what?
Also how do I withdraw money from my active saver in branch?

Thanks

Barclays branch staff will use your current account debit card to make a deposit in to it. (I've never asked for a withdrawal using it, but I assume they don't any longer require cheques to be written* etc) If they will take it out of your current account, therefore, they should be able to transfer it to your active savings too - since they can view your accounts and (I'm assuming again) that will mean all your accounts with them....

*You can certainly use their ATM to draw cash with the card....

    Thanks.
I have looked at the Barclay's website- they don't make thing clear.

I was looking to draw some money out of My active saver account in branch as my cash card hasn't arrived yet. Do I need to fill anything in or just hand in my Debit card. And if I want to transfer some money from saver to current account in branch, not sure how to do this.

If you've got online access, why not just transfer the money you wish to withdraw to your own current account first?

I do, Its just that I'm in town and go pass Barclay's every day so I wondered how you done it in branch or when i have PC trouble.

I did ring them tonight and they said to do it in branch you just hand your cash card over with 2 forms of ID and thats how to do it.

Than he tried to sell me Card protection, saying That I was not protected without it. I said i was protected he said I wasn't, who is right ?
Are you protected against fraud if you report it as soon as you know its missing or not.

He was a very annoying man. Flatly asked me why I didn't want it.
