I had my first experience of a nasty SA just now ....... bit of a long story so bear with me !
Went to a retail park boots (not saying which one - I know the forum has eyes !)
Basically I gave the SA on the till (who was very lovely bless her) a combination of vouchers (mainly the gwp 250 points ones and the email print out for £5 off). I also had the 350 pts wyb No7 bathing range which wouldn't go through. So, she summons over a supervisor who scrutinises my shop, decides that I'm putting far too many vouchers through and said that I couldn't use them !
So, I state that I'd bought the relevant products and that the vouchers were NOT the same so therefore I could use them. She still argued it and I then asked her to ring customer services, whom I was sure would say that I could use them (again stressing that I'd bought the relevant products for the vouchers). She kept saying that because I'd got the gwp's on the No7 I couldn't use any other vouchers.(Which I suppose is strictly true as vouchers do say not to be combined with any other offer). Still scrutinising and moaning (and whispering to another mean looking SA on the other till - how rude !) she eventually agreed to put them through (after I'd asked her to see if they would go through the till and any that didn't I wouldn't argue with - of course I knew they would go through
). THEN she told me I couldn't have the 200 pts wyb photo albums because i'd bought the reduced scrapbook inserts for 50p. Again I argued.
Anyway long and short of it is I had a fab shop (lots of points and gwp for not much money! :j ) but felt like a bloody criminal whilst stood at the till - listening to them whispering about me getting lots of points for not much money. Luckily most of the other customers had gone by then otherwise i'd have been a tad embarrassed ! Just glad I stood my ground as some of the other newbies amongst us might not have done, and would have left a bit dismayed ! Also glad she didn't notice the 2 NC bags I got :rotfl: (I did by the strawberry sponges for each though !)
I'd love to post my shopping list but don't feel it is a good idea in the circumstances (I don't want to draw attention to myself and possibly be identified !) If anyone thinks that it would be ok for me to post what I got then let me know as I'm itching to tell you all but scared of reprisals !
Thanks for listening and sorry for the long post again !
that experience must have been horrible. the way some SAs are you would think it is their money you are spending. If you have all the relevant items why can't they just be pleased you have got a bargain. As for whispering to each other that is SO rude.
I would love to see what you bought but is up to you if you want to post the list or not.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Yep I did and it went through as £2.00 no problems at all! It's really good too - I've been testing it.
I also tried (like some others) to get a *free* Liplicious lip gloss but the compootar said no! :rotfl: Still they are pretty good value at £4.?? aren't they? If my store had any left that is. The one in the GWP tastes lovely.0 -

If any of you kind peeps have any NC GWP you could spare for swaps of vouchers i would be very greatful and of course i will pay postage but i bet these are quite light and can be squashed for posting
I wish someone near me could get the med GWP for me, i think i will have to ring CS and see if there is any near me. I have been to 2 big stores and there isn't even any signs up about them. My voucher is dying to be used up.
I am after one for my SIL she is 3 months pg but is having a rough time, she is very sick and is constantly in bed. They are worrying alot too as when they went for their first scan the midwife couldn't get the heartbeat but she assured them that the baby is alive and ok but i think they really needed to hear it to believe it
Its her birthday soon and i would love to give her one, I have signed her up to the PC club but no one shares my passion for bootsing, hopefully the vouchers will come handy.
I miss my personal shopper dollardog:rotfl: She is so busy she hardy goes to boots or comes on here any more and she doesn't work near where i live now so i don't see her. She was brilliant at getting the glitches to work when i couldn't as my store won't let me have a GWP and use vouchers. just thought i would mention it as i read someone was asking why she doesn't come on here.kitiaracat I have been to 2 stores today , 1 store had the med GWp by the med range , however the other larger store had the med GWp but was in a random place a couple of aisles away from the med range ...so perhaps it might be worthwhile scouring the store ( if you haven't already!) Also I noticed in the smaller store they had the GWP just on the normal shelf with a normal SEL as well as on the 'offer stand' advertising it as a GWPThis is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M.
