    Woohoo!

I managed to get this hero.jpg for £2 today!

Also bought a mini Botanics skin brightening toner for 30p, a No7 nail varnish and cuticle cream using the £5 vouchers.

Also got the body polish using the 300 and 350pt ACM vouchers (very happy about that). I could have spent a bit more and got the GWP but I'm not too impressed with it and I don't know any metrosexuals that I could give the mens GWP to.

Had a miserable SA yesterday. I was trying to buy nail varnish and as I handed over the £5 voucher she said very loudly to the SA next to her:
SA1 - ooh, never seen one of these. have you?
    SA2 - No, looks like a photocopy
Me - it's not a photocopy, I got e-mailed the voucher from boots.
    SA2 - so it is a photocopy
Me - no, I printed it out. I can't photocopy in colour.
SA2 - yes you can, We can upstairs
Me - (well bl**dy good for you then!).

    It then wouldn't scan so
SA1 - the voucher is for make up only
    Me - i know
SA1 - so you can't use it on nail varnish
    Me why not?
    SA1 - it's not make up
    Me - yes it is.
    SA1 & 2 - no it isn't
Me - what do you class as make up then?
SA1 - anything for the face

At which point I gave up and got her to void it off. Then went to the No7 till and bought it there. The No7 SA was lovely and very apologetic when I told her what happened.

thanks:D his birthday was on Wednesday so he has it already. He was pleased with it. Only thing is now he has all these products to use he leaves them scattered all over the bathroom:rotfl:

Wish mine used anything other than shampoo and toothpaste!! Would make buying pressies for his birthday etc much easier!!

When we went away for my works Christmas "do" - 1 night away, I took a make up holdall, skincare holdall, straighteners, overnight case of clothes and shoes.... he took his suit carrier and carried his toothbrush!! :rotfl:

Only advantage is I have all the bathroom cupboard space!! ;)

There are 2 different sets with slightly different colours in them..one set reduced and one set fullprice.

Thanks for that. I thought I was going mad!! They looked so similar!!!:o

On a different note, I am going to Southend on Sea tomorrow with the kids cause my DH thought it would be a good idea to take a trip there for Father's Day because we was going to go on the last Bank Holiday weekend but it was a wash out and I am hoping to make a quick visit to the Boots there (if I can). Has anyone been in this branch and if so what is it like?
    TIA

Might be worth checking the barcodes on the ones on the shelf in case a reduced one might be hiding amongst the full price ones I know the ones in my local were all mixed up
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

    Hello,

I used my no 7 £5 voucher today on the lip gloss. I didn't realised that the lip glosses are all on offer at £4.75 (ish!). The assistant put it through with the voucher, so I got it for free. Made my morning!

How on earth did you manage that? I went into boots yesterday with some £5 off no7 little bill had sent for me. noticed the lip gloss at £4.38 and thought oooh, I'll try. Took it up to till with some paracetamol/ibuprofen (which i use all the time - bad migraines!) in case you needed to spend £5.
Wouldnt scan so i asked her to put it thru manually. She said its not valid on reduced items. I said can you not try anyway? She did and it wouldnt work.
I said, thats strange I know people who've used it. Are you sure you've keyed the number in right?
She said yes but I will try again. No joy again. It said, qualifying amount not met.

rather annoying cos I'd have got a few if it had worked!
I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...

My DH is the same - he has used the same brand shampoo, deodorant and soap since we got married (almost 20 years ago) despite his brand of deodorant 'Sure Cool Blue' now changing to 'Sure for Women' he won't try anything else!! To be honest what with with me and my 3 DD's in the house and taking over the bathroom it's a good job!!!:rotfl:
