Talking of MF, has anyone got a clue what the best way to use this is pls?
It doesn't seem to go on very well at all(although I do tend to literally slap the slap on
)
Do people use the sponge, or brushes, or what? I've only ever used it as a make-shift concealer for when I can't find the other 4 lol.
TIA x
Hi Passion8
I've used this for a long time and cos I'm lazy I just use the provided application all over with a combination of just patting up for lighter coverage to proper wiping on for a heavier look. I find it great for the t-zone and nice to use as a base for eye make up.

Thanks lm07I'm not sure why I can't get to grips with it, but it seems really thick. (Which means I should be on the best of terms with it really lol)
I wonder if it needs a really good moisturiser beneath it?
Tbh, I've got lost with all of the foundation palaver just lately. Like where does the sunblock/sunscreen go? Below a moisturiser? In place of a moisturiser? On top of a moisturiser?
And then there's all the 'filler's and concealers lol.

Talking of mascara, the brush on this one is excellent imo
and the mascara itself is good. Far better imo than any No7 I've tried.Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -

maybe it's just my greasy skin!! ha!!
it's not great staight onto any dry patches. I don't use any particular moisturiser first just whatever's to hand but i allow time for it to soak in first. this is cos the application is quite absorbent and i've found that if i put the MF on straight after some lotion it will try to wipe the lotion up and compact on the application and then get more of a caked look. would be just easier getting out the old trough(!).....0 -
Thanks lm07

No Passion hun it's not just you, it comes to us all eventually. But all you young ladies look away now as this might make you nauseous. You will have to deal with this in your later years;)
Ladies of a certain age... Cough... should always use a really good moisturiser otherwise its like painting a newly plastered wall with emulsion, the plaster just sucks up the paint:eek:  with that horrible slurpy sound and your face will feel and look 'set' You will then get the 'Barbara Cartland effect'
Face
I always use Olay regenerist serum (Don't skimp).
Then the (really good) moisturiser.
Then the foundation,(the highly intelligent one from No 7)
Then the bronzer.(At the moment I use a Revlon one from poundland as Boots changed theirs and put all different colours in it, and I looked like coco the clown with it (I bought 2 as well)
Re the layers, I only use a sunscreen F50 + a tinted moisturiser with a sun factor. Try it and see. The No7 tinted moisturiser is good for this.
I can no longer mix Serum + moisturiser + foundation + sunscreen as I always feel like I want to peel a few layers off   and I can never get my sunhat on properly
Re the lips. I use the No7 lip screen (with optional lippy on top)

IS there more than one arrival lounge?? It was the one that has the pink neon sign sayin MEETING POINT - do you know the one I mean??? When you come in thru the main doors there are cafes to your left a WHS to the right and the doors people you are meeting are on your right as well. If you go straight ahead thru the seating area there is a small Boots in the corridor. I think you can get to departures that way too but dont quote me on that. Its only a little Boots but it stocks No7 and the only SA tends to be the chemist man of an evening so he lets anything thru the till and didnt query any vouchers:D
Are you thinking of the departure lounge? You used to be able to go thru to that big area where all the crystal chanderliers were and a nice big boots - now you can only go there if you are flying out so no Bootsing when dropping off people only when picking them back up again! Thanks for the description I know exactly where you mean now..will have look next time I pick the parents up. I think that is terminal 1 with the WHS and there is a burger king and another cafe.
