just an update on our situation. 5th June 2008.
- 8.00am went to house for final time before GE money repo.
- 9.00am grabbed the last few items and posted note on door to divert mail to neighbour for time being.
- 9.15 post arrived, letter from solicitors saying repo has been stopped. (Has anyone come accros this before)?

- 2.15pm visit Kaylie at CAB for help writing out the forms for our BR next week (10th June).
Cheers
Glenn

I have heard of repos being stopped, generally because the owner has pleaded their case to the lender or in court. Have you done either?
The only other reason I could think of would be if the court papers weren't in order and the judge through them out. Or an admin error and some other poor sod has been repo'd instead of you.
Good luck with CAB, maybe they can advise.
Just had a thought, is there any money in it for GE? If your property value roughly equals the Barclays mortgage, GE may think its not worth them persuing the repo as they won't see a penny from the sale.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
