I have been lurking for around a year now and have been following Martin's tips to save money. Have managed to get back bank charges from First Direct:j , and a decent discount from Virgin:j . Despite those savings, I have had the lightbulb moment when first direct would not give us a temporary increase to our overdraft facility due to a blip in our income. Will explain more later and fill in the SOA but have to dash off to work (to earn some money). So briefly, debts of around £41,000, setting up a DMP with CCCS. I will update when I get home at lunchtime (hope).
I am so impressed with the help and support I have seen on this board so have decided it is time to take the plunge.
more later
regards
John
