I had a debt with RBS which much to my regert I defaulted on they have sold it on to Intrum Justitia
I have/had an agreement with one of their advisors over the telephone that I would pay an amount each month by standing order on or around 28th of each month
The agreement was made in september now in june a payment is a little late (no fault of mine it has debited my account ,the bank agree) they called to say that RBS where considering take me to court as I had defaulted on agreement and should have been paying £5 more than I have been I explained what had been said previously by their advisor .I was told they reveiw an account every 3/6 months and now need to pay more I asked why they hadnt written to me and told me apparently its beacause my account is active as I'm paying each month ?! UH !?
Can they keep putting the payments up without telling me or asking for my finacial information ?
Can they take it any further if I can prove funds left my bank account was agreed in september ?
Any advice welcome I want to pay off my debt but finding it very hard and they are very diffiucult to talk to .

Hi
This deserve a bump
First off, they are expected to accept reasonable offers of payment under OFT Guidelines. That does not mean a regular increase in payments every quarter or half year. Given the current increases in utilities and food costs, it may even mean a recustion in payments.
Secondly, deal with DCas by letter; do not talk to them as this allows them to record results that are not quite what you thought. A lot of the staff concerned are on target based bonuses. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
