Does anyone have a Palson Multicooker?

Does anyone have one of these?

I got a brand new one today from a local charity shop for £5.
I am sure this must use less energy than the hob so I thought it may be good for reducing the energy bills.
I was wondering if anyone who has one of these can give me some ideas regarding what they cook in there.
It does say you can cook pizza in it but surely as you have to put the glass lid on to retain the heat the pizza would be soggy.

I bought one off Ideal World for £24.99 and loved it - I cooked everything in there - even oven chips. It is much cheaper to run than the oven and everything turned out perfectly. The only problem with it was that after about 2 months all the non stick wore off and everything I tried to cook all stuck. I rang Ideal World and they gave me a refund when I sent the cooker back. They didn't have any in stock for a replacement but they have had them since and I have been tempted but I don't know if the same would happen again.
I did Pizza in it and it was fine!Jane

Thanks for the info.
I haven't seen them on Ideal World as I don't tend to watch any of the shopping channels anymore. At what temp did you do your oven chips for and for how long, was it the same as in a normal cooker?
When you say you cooked pizza in it, did you ever cook homemade pizza in there ie one made in the breadmaker?

I cooked the chips on the maximum temperature for about 25 minutes - I found that you had to agitate them from time to time - I just used a non stick spatula thingie. The pizza I cooked wasn't a home made one - it was a frozen one and I cooked it on the maximum and was surprised that it turned out okay. I liked the fried eggs too - I just put the eggs in the pan and put on the lid and they cooked without fat and without having to turn them over.Jane

Thanks Jane, I'll have to sort out some odds and sods to test in it.
Although it's brand new and unused I'm glad I only paid a fiver for it if they have a tendancy to peel.

Hi there - I also got a Palson from Ideal World about 1 year ago and fortunately the non stick on mine is still fine. They are brill I have also cooked oven chips and lots of chicken/pork casseroles, fried eggs, sausages. Rice dishes are also very good. Very handy, especially for keeping some food warm at the minimum setting. Hope you enjoy using your Palson a real bargain at £5 give yourself a clap on the back. I never seem to be lucky enough to pick up any bargains.

Thanks Swannie girl.
Glad to hear someone has a good word for it. Have done a google search and found a few people have had the peeling problem and some people say it has uneven heat problems.
