Finance on a lemon

The finance Company (Bank of Scotland) are informing me that they will not accept the car without the repairs to the engine taking place. I am now in a position that my young children will be without a vehicle to bring them the 100 miles to see their dad and I will have to move from my rented accomodation to finance the repairs. This has left my family torn and there appears to be nothing I can do.0

Cant you try and sell it privately and make some money or try and buy spares to fix it?

Unfortunately the cars value on the private market is less than the value of work to be carried out so it is uneconomical to get it done0
