    If it was the same, then you would say C&G are being silly. As its more then C&G are within their rights to say that as it should have been disclosed. £20k seems petty but then sometimes a lender can be that way. They may be using that as an excuse rather than refuse you for another reason.

    Based on what you have said so far, you should approach the mortgage advisor for a refund as it should have been on the application.
