Declared BR at 11.10 am

Hi Everyone,
I arrived at slough court at 9am, went through the paperwork with a clerk and was relieved of £495. Saw the judge at about 11.08 am, he asked me if i had sought professional advice and did I understand the consequences He was very pleasant, I answered all his questions and was declared BR at 11.10 am. I spoke with the OR office for about 2 mins on the telephone again a very nice young lady, she asked me my bank account details for which my wages were paid and said she would write to them and let them know that they had no interest in it and could be kept open, it is a coop cashminder account. After that i left the court and went home. Had 2 phone calls on the way home from creditors!!!! How nice was it to tell them i was bankrupt. Thanks once again to everyone on this forum for all the invaluable advice, just the OR interview to go.

Cheers Phil

    Hi Phil,

Congratulations on today...nobody really chooses the BR route but when there`s no other choice then it has to be done. Its not easy & credit to you for being brave enough to take that step to sort your debts out once & for all.

Glad to hear that Slough Court were so helpful. Just the OR to deal with next!

Now get over to the BSC membership thread & Fermi will enrol you in the club..unless you`ve already done that!
