My OH was owed quite a large amount of money by his previous employer.
Its been to the High court and the enforcement officer got a cheque from the company yesterday. My question is, do they have to keep it a specific length of time before passing it to OH? OH was told by solicitor that when it clears the enforcement officer will issue a cheque , so Im assuming thats 3 working days. Would like to know when we can pay bills/book holiday etc !
Cheers

I'd work on a couple of weeks. At least you know the cheque you're going to get won't bounce and that risk is being borne by the court.0

If this is anything to go by, at least 14 days and probably 21 - I do not know if this is regular practice though0

who is the cheque payable to? i would think the court agent would have put it on a special clearance, so follow up in a week- its YOUR money, not theirs!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
