Hi there, just wondering if anyone knows anything that could help me out...
last year at the end of what i swear was a 12 year mobile phone contract, i gave a months notice that i was leaving, as i was leaving england for a year. I was then told my contract was for 18mths, although no-one could ever provide me with a copy of it! I told the company that until i received a copy of the contract, i considered my debt to them cleared and as i was leaving the country, could not do much more. In my absence over the last year it appears they have taken me to court (i knew nothing about this) and i have been given a CCJ. Does anyone know if there is a way to appeal against them and if there is a time limit?

you can appeal on the ground you did not receive the CCJ.0

did you get a summons first, from the court?or just a letter 'claiming' the creditor had a judgement? if so, best do a defence ASAP, requesting proof of the debt etc.. if they dont, should be able to get summons struck out, with no record..
if there is as court ref. check that out on the court website (google should guide you there..)Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0
