I bought 8 loaves the other day that had been reduced at tesco
They all had the 40p coupon on them, and cost me 6p each also buy one get one free.
So in effect cost me 24p for 8 loaves and got £3.20 of vouchers - a nice little £2.96 profit! (...and clubcard points too...lol)
Eyes peeled... :0)Smile - life's good !0 -
Thats a shame. Granary is the one Hovis loaf I don't particularly like, even at that price.0

Methinks that the tesco your end of town is far more generous reducing their bread products than t'other end of town.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Wow, and I was happy getting the bread for 80p (reduced) last weekend, and BOGOF, so an 80p spend on bread = 80p in vouchers!walsgravematt wrote:I bought 8 loaves the other day that had been reduced at tesco

I wish my Tesco would reduce things to 6p...0 -
This is the time to be at Tesco - I was there at 6.30pm looking for the major bargains, and only reduced about 50%
I got chatting to an employee (always good to be kind ;0) )and he said that at 7.30pm is when they start to reduce already reduced items from about 50% to 90%ish
Thats why i've recently walked out with lovely £2.60 cheese for only 10p (even more than 90%) the bread and other goodies for a real bargain
Timing is everything!

I used to be able to fill my freezer with reduced goodies at Tesco for about £6 to £10 but since they went 24 hours, they hardly reduce anything anymore. You have to time it within minutes and most of the time it is only bread that is worth having. Still, I suppose we did well while it lasted so I can't really complain!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
