My car came with a creased rear bumper from the previous owner (it is amazing what a bit of dirt can hide) and I ham told that this can be 'fixed' by heating methods and the subsequently sprayed. However, I do not know who in Belfast is any good. So can you give me any recommendations?

Thanks

I have used this firm in the past and they do excellent work
(However like everything else the cost of automotive paint, materials etc has being rising recently so its hard to get a cheap good job anywhere)

I used Car Maintenance Works on the Woodstock Road in the past, they had a good reputation and haven't heard anything to the contrary since.

exactly who i thought of when i saw the thread title, i scraped the wheel arch of my car on my boyfriend's gatepost  (metallic graphite paint, tricky to blend) - they did a superb job, i could not tell it had been damaged at all.
I was recommended it by my flatmate who had her car keyed all down one side and they also did a briliant job on that, and her boyfriend who had someone reverse into his wheel arch and buckle it, also an amazing job

Also try this place - McMurray's on the Ravenhill road, corner with Ravenhill Avenue. He does a lot of work for wedding cars, prestige motors & the like. Did a brill piece of work for me, when someone dinged & scraped a wing & door - red metallic. The workshop has been there for 30 years, father & son. Reasonable too.

DONT go there, these people are muppets, they pick and choose their job so as to make the most profit.

I used them in the past, they did an ok job on the paint finish, few overspray imperfections but not bad, I even recommended them to friends and work colleagues.

I went back to them a few years after with a bumper crease/crack problem, it needed plastic welding and a touch up. To cut down on labour I removed the bumper from the car and transported it to their workshop for a quote.

They wouldnt even entertain the idea, I looked around the workshop and seen nothing but spotty 16yr old oicks working on executive motors. Gawd I thought! this place has changed............. and the secretary at reception had a stinking attitude.

Funny I thought, they were happy to take my custom before, they make most of their money on labour. So there was no profit in it for them to spray a bumper that was already off the car. The bumper only takes around 30min to remove, but they will slap half a days labour on the bill.

Took the same bumper to TBR, Trimble Bros, Moss Road, past Carryduff, no problem at all, no job too small.

They have full oven bake finishing, plastic welding, up to 17,000 colours to match any paint.

Speak to Keith at TBR, he's your man, forget J & W
