As a pupil in the late 1950s, I was in a P7 class of 50.
The teacher had no classroom assistants, no behaviour support, no learning support, no Powerpoint or videos or IT.
Why are teachers today always moaning? Maybe it's time for another 6 week holiday.0 -
Yep, it's DEFINITELY time for another holiday!!!:T:T:rotfl::rotfl:
And if I could teach the curriculum as it was in the 1950's, one lesson to every one of the 50 in the class, in a quiet classroom instead of some open plan bay where three other classes are out 'playing', painting and sawing wood when I'm trying to teach fractions- I'd bloomin' well love it!

In the late 1950s teachers were respected by parents and pupils alike as a result pupils were better behaved and easier to deal with.0
