help with clothes stain caused by vanish

i spilt some liquid vanish (stain remover) onto my son's white cotton school shirts - i realised half an hour later and popped it into the washing machine immediately on a hot wash-
where the spill has occurred has made a big creamy yellow blotch on the shirt front and hasn't come out in the wash.
i have boiled said shirt in persil - it has removed it a bit but the stain is till obvious.
any ideas? the shirt is in good condition and i dont want to throw it away.

I think Mandy may be right....... unless you try one of those ultra-whitening sachets? Like for net curtains? Might be worth a go - and you could do your nets at the same time!
