I would like a little advice please. my son is 6 yrs old and would like a hornby train set for christmas. There seems to be a few diffrent ones around and it's a bit confusing for a mum who knows nothing about trains. I would like to spend around £50 in the hopes of then adding to it later as he gets bigger. Can anyone recommend a good start up set please at a reasonable price.
Thank you.
Thank you.
HOW MUCH ?

Sorry I can't offer a recommendation. In addition to the set get him a piece of chipboard where he can have the track permanently fixed ... trust me you'll save yourself lots of hassle when getting it set up.
A quick search on froogle doesn't offer too many sets for 50GBP0
