Thought I ought to update as it's been a while since I've been on.
Well, as to expected Capital One are being total pains, and have still to even acknowledge receipt of my SOA and offer from June, despite me also having returned their own version twice in the meantime - apparently there's a backlog, but they won't stop/reduce any charges until they have caught up and processed the paperwork - they can't/won't even confirm if they've received any of them
At the same time, the three accounts with the Littlewoods group are being pains - agreeing a plan one month, only to totally back-pedal the next
So, I've had to concede that I can't do this on my own this time
, so today I've requested the CCCS pack to hand it all over to them - there's just too much going on at home for me to be spending what little time I have dealing with people who won't listen. Hubby has been hospitalised twice over the summer in life-threatening situations, the landlord has served notice to quit (he's ill and wants the place for himself) and we can't find anywhere else that hubby can access, add to that a myriad of smaller issues, including the debts themselves, and we're all struggling - the kids are struggling to deal with everything (elder two are borderline/mild AS and any stress/change can cause issues), hubby's struggling with his (previously minor) depression, and my SAD has hit big time this year (probably because summer wasn't the stress-free recharge it normally is), hence I'm not quite functioning on all cylinders either
.
Sorry - just needed to vent that - feel free to ignore the non-DFW bits of this post

On the plus side, our smallest creditor, on hearing that we were moving over to CCCS, and realising their pro-rata share of payments would be less than £2 a month, gave me a really good settlement figure, so that's one less to hand over. I know I perhaps shouldn't have, to be fair to the other creditors, but it was equivalent to less than a weeks shopping, and it's made me feel a bit better so worth taking the 'hit' this once.
