Incompetent Solicitors - is there no way to get your money back?

I have just been well and truly screwed by a Solicitor. He charged me over £140,000 to get my money back from a fraudster, didn't do it but managed to put me into bancruptcy court instead. Either he was totally incompetent or knew exactly what he was doing.
Does anyone know any way that I can get my money back?

You're going to have to give us some more details in order to be able to advise you. How were you defauded in the first place, and how did the solicitor fail to recover any of this money?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
