Newbie question! Quidco??

Hi

I've just joined MSE today and LOVE this forum!! Hoping that some of you wise people can help me so here's my first question.....

I've recently decided to stop work to look after my little boy and have been looking at other ways to make a little bit of money. I've joined quidco because I've been told that it's really easy to make spare cash using it. I've done a few things and made about £50 (woohoo!) but I've come to a grinding halt now - any top tips about things to do to make more money through quidco?

Thanks,
pippi

Hi, I joined Quidco last year so have learnt a small amount in that time.

Firstly do not get into more debt by buying things you do not need to get cashback - easily done!!!

There are a number of people on this site that helpfully list the latest free cash merchants for you, so please have a look down the listings for these on this forum.
Many sites offer cash for registrations which is a very quick way to gain cash and this will soon add up. Always check Quidco before making any purchase as they really do cover so many merchants and the scret is getting into the habit of this before buying online.

Good luck! Hope this helps :money:
Wins in 2009: 2 Lipsticks, personalised kids CD and Lewis series 3 on DVD.
Thanks to all of you wonderful people who post competitions........:T

I know its not much but use the high street web daily and you get 4p once you click through them to another site. A car or van insurance quote with Go Compare gets you £2. If you want to spend a £5 and get £15 back sign up to MyLotto24, I played the £5 through immediately with £5 in bets and the £15 tracked and validated within 24 hours. Hope this helps!
Smile and the whole world smiles with you, laugh and they'll think your on drugs!

Pigsback: £11.92 (claimed £50 vouchers); Quidco: £143.89; Home of Research: £3.50 (£20 claimed); YouGov: £19.50; Valued Opinions: £5.50 (£10 claimed) Toluna: 29,210 pts (120.000 claimed) Ipoints: 2092 pts and loose change elsewhere!

    Hi pippilongstockings and welcome.:j

There is so much help on here for making extra cash, and to benefit from what you already spend. Great advice from bobbity123 and don't buy things you weren't going to anyway and don't buy from a cashback website unless it was cheaper in the first place as sometimes things don't go smoothly with the cashback system.

Check out the debt free and mortgage free forums to get help on daily 'clicks' for cash ,and joining online survey sites. (lightspeed/valued opinions/toluna etc...)

    good luck:T

This offer expired on May 27th.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
  • Thanks!

I managed to do the mylotto24 before it expired and for some reason they've given me £30 rather than £15?! I also joined galabingo (what an eyeopener!!) and got £20 for a £10 bet. Will have a look at the threads suggested and get going on my money making journey!

    Thanks again!

Always remember you NEVER make money simply by spending it. With any of the cashback sites you can pick up some payback deals - bingo for example - but most only offer discounts.

Discounts are not the same as income, but useful all the same.

Am personally disenchanted with Quidco. There are much better sites; look at TopCashback and CashbackKIngs for higher daily clicks and better deals.

Quidco are unreliable and their lack of customer service is appalling.
:o Keep trying.........................what else is there to do? :o

join other cashback sites as well and do similar things there. Everyone talks about quidco and that was my first cashback site I used but due to quite a lot of negativity about them I've switched to topcashback. A bit risky for example to sign up to a site, deposit £50 becuase you'll get £50 cashback - you may not get it.

It's a good idea to get car insurance via a cashback site. I got £90 for my most recent polcy and it was the cheapest policy even before cashback!
    :D
  • Thanks for the tips everyone, I'll join those other sites that you have mentioned.

I hadn't thought about buying things like insurance through a cashback site - I've just bought annual travel insurance as well :-( Will definitely use on of them next time.
