Large capacity garage freezers & online suppliers advice please

Hi everyone!
We're looking to get an A rated preferably frost free large capacity freezer for our garage.
The one I've seen which seems good is here at Currys but after a quick look around online it seems it can be gotten cheaper from lots of retailers I've never heard of, such as these, amongst others.

Has anyone had particularly good/bad experiences with any of these online white goods suppliers? It's such a huge amount of money to spend if things go wrong...

All advice welcomed, thanks so much :T

Best wishes
Lucy

I recently bought a Hoover freezer for the garage. Had to buy local because the old one had packed up and the contents were thawing. Had to call out an engineer within a week for a small problem and he stated that the frost free freezers were better for indoors and being in a garage would tend to start defrosting when the weather got colder. Not sure how this would work but perhaps someone else could explain that logic. I wasn't there so couldn't question the engineer.

Crikey, thanks for pointing that out. On googling a bit further, it looks like most freezers aren't covered if you keep them in the garage  Rather annoyingly, during my surfing I noticed one brand which you could - but I can't find the link again after mucho searching. I wonder if anyone else knows of a manufacturer who still covers freezers kept in the garage under warranty, please?

All advice on it very welcomed! Thanks again for the pointer!

Make sure the model you choose will work in a garage some won't due to the higher differential temperatures experienced in summer / winter. The supplier should be able to advise what models are suitable.

Does anyone know of any manufacturers that make freezers which can cope with the temperature fluctuations? I guess a lot of people keep their freezer in the garage - I was surprised it was a problem but I can kind of see why, although I'd think it was something they'd've overcome in these days of technology?

The Which report does say that it probably is fine for freezers but not for fridges, but then if it does go wrong and the manufacturer won't cover us it's a dear do.
    Thanks again folks!
