Refund on a 3 for 2 offer?

Whilst browsing in tescos last night they had a 3 for 2 offer on a playstation 3 game that I want. If I were to buy three copies of the game and then in the next week return two to different stores at different times, what would happen?
Would they give me refunds for both, meaning the third copy were free? Would they give me pro-rata refunds meaing I'd got a third off the copy I wanted?
Would they laugh in my face and not give me a refund?
I'm curious as to what the policy is, so any answers gratefully received...

This is just my opinion but I think you would need the receipt and on that it would obviously say it was a 3 for 2 offer and therefore they would require all 3 items back . The only other way would be if they divided the total cost by 3 , say £21 on 3 for 2 so they refunded you £7 each time but I very much doubt it .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .
Thomas came home after 3 months and 2 days in hospital weighing 5lb 15ozs
Thomas weighed 21lb 4ozs on his 1st birthday , a total weight gain of 18lbs 5ozs !

If it's a 3 for 2 offer and one is returned (which would be silly as it's free) then no refund should take place as it would be the same price anyway if only two items were bought.

Would check their refund policy as I'm sure with cd's can't return unless faulty -may be the same for dvd's and games.
Had to return faulty item to boots after xmas wich was the free item on 3 for 2, they didnt have the item in stock to replace and after a bit of a battle I got a cash refund for the full value of that item, but as I say it was faulty not just that had changed mind. I think your rights are still the same even if the item is 'free' -thats just their sales gimmick, ultimately they are providing you with 3 products at a lower cost just as if in a sale.0 -

Plus you'd be attempting to commit an offence, off the top of my head I'd say obtaining property by deception, best not to go down that line0

especially on a public internet forumhelpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
I don't think they will take them back because people have been buying them, copying them at home and then returning them for a refund so Tescos have stopped refunds.0

when you buy 3 items on 3for2 (certainly in stores i have worked for) they will generally give you a 3rd back (so if you buy 3games for £15 =£30 you would get £10 back) so therefore make a saving of a third.
BUT
both stores would require the receipt which would show that you had bought 3 of the same game and so because you had obviously bought 3 to take advantage then i doubt they would let you benefit this way. even if you bought 3 different games i doubt it would work because the first store would sign your receipt to say that one had been returned and so again, the 2nd store would know it was dodgy.
also, many stores will not refund games.0
