I've had a DKNY watch since 2001 and it's been great so I applied for one through the Amazon sale. It arrived today, didn't work, probably flat battery and is now going back and I'm getting a refund. Perhaps this sale is old stock? Has anyone else had any problems with these watches???Saving, saving, saving - thank you Martin! :money:0

they do look nice i may get one. although i doubt it will be up with rolex or bretling maybe tisot at a push.....If you are after a really, really quality watch then I would suggest buying one from Christopher Ward, London (www.christopherward.co.uk).
There isn't any money off vouchers that I can recommend, but it's still a money saving tip as the quality is on a par with Breitling, Tag Heur, Rolex, etc. I bought one around 18 months ago when a friend recommended them. I read an article on them recently in The Sunday Times as well saying what good quality they are.
These are real head-turners, and you can feel the quality as soon as you get them (mine weighs a ton!).
They cost about £150-£200. Far cheaper than Rolex, etc, and far rarer as well.If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -

Simple weight alone does not make a good quality watch - a perfect example being Rolex - the watches are excellently finished (talking about the sub and SD), but the original bracelets feel light and even slightly flimsy.
Fair points. I've got (I think it's called) Peregrin and I love it. And for £200 you can't really go wrong. I think what I like best is the fact that its a relatively unknown brand, so creates a bit more interest than more common ones.
I suppose if you can afford £1,500 for a Rolex then you aren't going to get a Christopher Ward watch!

Indeed. Personally, I can't afford a Rolex, and I'm not convinced I would get one if I could afford them, I think I would get a couple of Sinns or (more likely) increase my collection of vintage Seiko divers watches. And not forgetting Precista - available from www.timefactors.com - one of the best customer services I have had, the watches are very reasonably priced and are of excellent quality - I'm currently wearing my manual-wind PRS-53 'fat arrow' as I type this.Fair points. Come on guy's you KNOW you would have rolex if you had the money....

Not sure if you would get a real nice one for 1500 though. If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -
Yes, I bought 2 a couple of weeks ago and one of them doesn't work. They refunded me with gift vouchers as it was a gift!!!! I have used the vouchers to buy another one which hopefully will work. Thought it was a bit of a cheek to refund with vouchers though:mad:cynical_mary wrote: »I've had a DKNY watch since 2001 and it's been great so I applied for one through the Amazon sale. I have my eye on this one...

either in black or white! The only problem is that I have tiny wrists... would I be able to have links taken out of the bracelet? If so, for how much?0
