Paying Out?
I know this is in the wrong thread but i want everyone to see it.
I have just received a phone call from a firm stating they act on behalf of NatWest and Abbey saying that the bank charges have been classed as unlawful and that i will receive all charges due to me.
The firm were called RECLAIM U.K. and asked me what branch i was with and to confirm i havre been with them (abbey) for over 6 years.
They charge a one off payment of £39.99.
Anyone know of any updated issues regarding bank charges, they are going to write to me for me to sign a declaration.
I phoned them back anonomously 01253755781 and adviser says RECLAIM UK can I help.

Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.

Easiest way to check if they are legit is to check if they are CRM registered with Ministry if Justice www.claimsregulation.gov.uk. If they are not there, then they aint legit.
However it wont just be £39 you pay - you will also pay 25% (roughly) that they get back for you. Also, no matter what they say, they dont work for ANY bank.
Far better to just claim them back yourself.No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

For them to charge £39 is unreal , for amount of work involved it gotta be a scam . I paid 25% and was ha.ppy to get all my charges back0
