Lloyds tsb airmiles mortgage

Hello there,
I have searched here and nobody seems to be discussing the Lloyds Mortgage, 5.99% for 5 yrs with 6000 airmiles and 50 per month. My head is spinning from comparing the options. Fees £995.
This is a new one I think and is a better rate than their previous 3 yr fixed which has been withdrawn. I am switching from Halifax BoE tracker at 6.19%. I am wanting to hurry as I feel that BoE rate will not be decreasing again soon.
I just wondered if anyone had looked at this Mortgage?
Oh also this may seem like a naive question...but are there any advantages to having a mortgage with your own bank, I mean the more products you have with them, do you benefit at all? I am sure that there is not but just thought I would ask....
Thanks

The answer to your last paragraph is no (IMO).
If I was remortgaging I would be calculating any fees and dividing it by the number of months the product is valid for - giving me the true cost of the product.
You can play around with all the mortgage calculators available on Google to see if you think you are getting a good deal.
With all of these 'gimmicks' you will pay for it another way so your flight may be more expensive than you think.0 -
Thanks for the advice.0
