Please help i am out of my depth. I have had major financial problems over the past 12 months. I have kept everything up to date other than an MBNA card and MINT. I missed a few paid lots late etc. I have also buried my head in the sand big time i have always had money and never struggled so this is a big shock to me. Now i have Triton Credit Services in my face they wont accept £100 per month which is much more that my min payment would be. I am technically up to date with it now anyway but MINT wont take the account back? I thought Triton were RBS anyway much like MINT. What can i do they wont accept the payments i aint got the balance. It gets worse.. where i am working have now been bought out by a company that are FSA so going to get credit checked if i fail i also loose my job. What can i do. So depressed and down cannot cope dont know where to turn. Already had my charges back. Got no hope of getting the 2500 together. How can i get this Default off... read in back of newpaper an advert offering to get them removed for 60?? is this possible if so i will do it. I just want to sort my life out.

HI
I just wanted to say don't worry people will be along with help, I don't know what to suggest about work but maybe speak to HR or get a copy of your own credit report to see what it says.
I'm not totally sure how to handle the DCA other than to stick to your guns they can't have what you don't have and they sound quite unreasonable. Only communicate with them by letter that way the can't bully you.0 -
Are you sure a bad credit score will put your job at risk? I'm not sure that a company can legally fire you for having a poor credit rating! Have a cup of tea, take a deep breath and please post your SOA for people to mull over and the suggestions will come flooding in.Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0

Thank you for your suggestions how do i post a SOA? was is a SOA sorry very new to this.
I have had a meeting with HR this morning we will all be under a new contract of employment. My role will change and anyone new to the role anyone who is offered a job will be offered pending passing a credit check. No CCJ's or defaults. I have a default. They will credit check all existing staff on 1st June and anyone who fails will be given notice. It will affect about 10 of us. HR know and can do nothing. I work in recruitment i bill about 30k a month and they will lose this. They cant afford to lose it but are powerless. Its all my own fault i know. Have spoken to MINT have spoken to Triton. They are a nightmare my financial statement clearly shows i have -221 per month. they still wont accept £100 per month and just say we will take legal action. Not sure what to do. Triton have got terrible press they add all kinds of charges etc and dont send statements..0 -

Is the default on the MBNA card?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
SOA = Statement of affairs: http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
This helps posters advise you on repaying debt. I think your immediate concern though is the default on your record. It seems overly harsh for someone to lose their job over a default, I know it can happen with BR, but that seems excessive.
I'm not sure what to suggest, except to put the CV out, in case they do really go through with it. I would try to resolve the matter with the debtor ASAP and hope you can tell your employer that this was simply an error and that you have addressed it. Then keep your fingers crossed that they will accept that. Not much good I know, but hopefully others will be along with better advice...Running Club targets 20105KM - 21:00 21:55 (59.19%)10KM - 44:00 --:-- (0%)Half-Marathon - 1:45:00 HIT! 1:43:08 (57.84%)Marathon - 3:45:00 --:-- (0%)0 -

Hi guys sorry to badger you all. I have only had a couple of suggestions they were all helpful, thanks so much. I still need some more advice more help if anyone has any suggestions would be so happy
thank u x0 -
Hi Jess
If you look at Beinerts post there is a link for the statement of account.
If you fill that in and post it here people will be able to help you even more as this is the easiest thing to start with.
Berinerts also has some fab advice in that post about what to do with HR if things go a bit smelly.

I don't think you can get the default off I'm afraid. You missed the payment you get a default. Whatever you do, do not ever, ever give more of your hard earned money to a company that will promise to remove it. I'm fairly sure a) it's a scam and you will lose the £60
and b) it's probably illegal
either way this is not something you want to get involved with. Back of the newspaper says it all really- doesn't it.
What you need to do is sit down and work out a plan of action. Draw up a budget and post on here all your incomings and outgoings and people will make some suggestions for you.
Not sure what to suggest with the HR to be honest. Try and get a plan in place with the budget and hopefully someone will know more about the HR /credit checking issue.
