Not a bad price but Dell have a few offers on laptops at the moment and you can get a 2GB memory and 120GB hardrive complete with Vista and Microsoft works all for a similar price to the Morgan laptop you posted.:: Lee ::0

Alternatively, you could buy a refurbished 17" widescreen Advent 9117 laptop for £229.99 delivered (possibly less with discounts/partner websites) from www.dixons.co.uk Put in product number 388060.
Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor T2310 <LI class=indentFeature>(1.46 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 1 MB Cache)
Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium
1 GB Memory
120 GB Hard Drive
I have no connection with Dixons other than being a happy customer with the last two refurbished laptops I bought from them this year.
Definitely worth a look for a general spec laptop.0 -

Thanks for the update odorus. Was definitely in stock when I posted, so some people got a bargain. I bought a 17" 9617 laptop from Dixons last week for £293.99 using a code & an affilliate link to bring the price down from £319.99 delivered. I looked at the 9117 but wanted 2Gb memory and a slightly faster processor.
The other laptop I had from Dixons was a 9517 for £349.99 delivered with a £20 off voucher - now expired - in April. My Mother's neighbour was so pleased.
The price of laptops seems to be falling rapidly. It is about time. I'm a techie and would not use the kind of spec listed in this thread as my main PC as I do a lot of video processing, but you get what you pay for. All lappies listed so far have been excellent value for money and good for day to day normal everyday use, so if you need a new PC and can get one for this sort of price, grab one. :jOut of Stock on that one0 -
yeah that was a good spec machine, shame it's gone. Will keep my eyes peeled for a similar machine. Thanks for the info Jonniegif.0
