Yum, thanks for posting. I love fresh pineapple.

Talking of "massive" things at Tesco, have u seen the "spudzilla" potatos! they are huge!"Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering"0

Anyone tried the Tesco pineapple yet - the one I bought was dry and not very sweet once ripe - did I just get unlucky? What were yours like?If Life Deals You a Lemon - Make Lemonade!! :j0

I can't bring myself to do this - I have not eaten "fresh" pineapple since I was laying back on Coral Island in Thailand (imagine heaven then add some extra good points!) eating real fresh fruit, including lychess with the real outer skin on them!
Problem is, doing something like that spoils you for the future - the only fresh fruit I eat in this country is now things like apples and oranges! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

(1) Feel the weight. They are mostly water, so if they don't feel heavy, the pineapple is dry.
(2) Tug on one of the lower leaves at the top - if it comes away easily, the pineapple is ripe and should be sweet.
Also look out for sticky juice on the outside - if present it is probably over-ripe or has been badly handled.
