At least we know where some of our extra £30 went, not something we can usually say about tax.

I wish I'd been offered redundancy deals like this in the past. The incredible thing is that these people get so much money for poor results, infuriates me.

Unfortunately, it's probably cheaper than firing them and then having it dragged through court for years.

I can never understand these "Golden Handshakes", If your employed to do a job and you make a balls of it like NI water. Where does Redundancy come into it!! If your crap at your job and do make hash of it, you get sacked, end of story, no pay of, no golden handshake, Toe to rear and out the door with cap in hand, thats what you get.. Another case of the constant "Blame" culture that has developed in the western world.. there's always someone else to blame for you not being able to do your job so you get a pay of to go quietly.. WHAT A JOKE... People have to start to step up to the plate especially in the Public Sector.. and take responsibilitty for their Job.. and if you do a crap job, expect the sack!!

Be fair people .. if we fired people for being incompetent useless lazy and a waste-of-space then we wouldn't have anybody left in the public sector.

Had to deal with another incompetent public sector body yesterday who have managed to 'scan somebody elses records and add them to my file' and then tried to accuse me of 'fraudulent activity' .. and despite me pointing out that they had now sent me personal and private details of somebody else they still wanted me to waste my time and call into their offices - at their convenience (not mine). Sorry, but my time is much more valuable than the entire public sector put together.

Can somebody point me to the person in the public sector that is actually competent .. I sure as heck would love to meet them.
