Previous tenants debt

My boyfriend and I have been living in a rented property for 6 months. The previous tenants seem to have had a lot of debt. We had issues setting up our utilities bills because of this.
We are still getting final reminder letters and red letters for them, which we are returning to sender. We are starting to get concerned about this.
Will our credit rating be affected?
Are there any other implications for us?
Can they still get credit against our address?
Any advice would be gratley appreciated.

It sounds like you are doing everything correctly, but I'll bump you up the board in case anyone has any experience with this.
We kept getting phonecalls for the previous owners regarding accounts, but they gave up after we kept telling them they moved out before xmas. Didn't get any post though. Sorry.:rotfl:I'm Cosmo, Cosmo Kramer! :rotfl:0 -
Hiya
credit records relate to people not to addresses, so you are OK. Are you on the electoral roll? That would remove the previous tenants from their most likely remaining link to the address. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
