Debenhams Gift Cards, extra £10 up for grabs

Hi there,

I am sure that many 'moneysavers' have taken advantage of the 20% Daily Mail discount offer instore at Debehams.

In store at the moment, Debenhams are also pushing Student Gift Cards. These are basically gift vouchers, but loaded onto a card.

If you load a minimum of £100.00 onto the card, Debenhams will credit each card with an additional £10.00 for free. The cards are not restricted to students only and there dosen't appear to be any restrictions to the number of cards you can have.

I have loaded 2 cards for purchases I wish to make and have received the free £10.00 on each card. This is in addition to the Daily Mail discount.

The only issue with the scheme, is that the £10.00 credit from debenhams can take up to a week to be loaded onto the card. (You can check the balance on their website, by entering the card number though).

If you don't get a chance to use it with the Daily Mail vouchers, it would be handy for Christmas Shopping. The added benefit is that as the card is treated as cash, you can take advantage of any other offers available at that time. Beware though, if you loose the card, Debenhams won't replace it.

Enjoy!

    Hi there,

Looking at the leaflet that was attached to the card, it dosen't given an expiry date of the additional £10.00 top up. The leaflet sates very clearly on the front re the £10.00 offer, but as always, they could withdraw the offer at anytime.

Unless you live in a big student town/city, you may have difficulty finding them in store. I visited both Nuneaton & Coventry stores yesterday and none were on display. When I asked staff members in both stores, they knew nothing about the cards. It seems as though Managemnt of these stores are very poor at staff briefings.

Have just come across this site https://www.farepak.co.uk/xexec/directgoods.asp where you can buy £100 of debenhams vouchers for £95 with free delivery. Im wondering if you could use these to buy the debenhams gift cards. It would be an extra £5 save. Does anyone know if you can? x
