Refunds on Gift Days

Does anyone know the rules about getting refunds on gift days?
My girlfriend and I have booked a good few, but they never manage to come off!

As an example, last year for her birthday I booked a go on one of those little planes things (sorry for the lack of technical terminology!). I think i booked it on last minute.com, then you get the airport phone number and give them a voucher number and book it, however every time we travelled the two hours to the site it was cancelled due to bad weather.

Will I be able to get my money back? It was a year ago, is there a time limit on use?

I have bought a couple of these for presents in the past and i'm pretty sure that they said on them that they were only valid for 12 months from date of purchase ..

But perhaps if you give the organizer a ring and explain that it was cancelled due to the weather then i would imagine that they would "extend " it for you ...

I bought one of these " flight experiences " for the other half about 2 years ago ..... it was an "acrobatic " flight .... all " loop the loops and dives etc" ....although he looked " green " when got out of the plane ... he really enjoyed it !!! ...... i stayed on the ground in the bar watching it ! This was at " stapleford " in essex ..... Nice little pub just down the road from it as well !

Anyway i hope you get to go .....
