hey, new to this so please bear with me.
i currently hav a buy to let mortgage, but hav moved back into my property & need to change back to an ordinary mortgage, but thanks to a great ex i have credit problems, missed credit card payments etc, but never missed a mortgage payment.
where do i look for a mortgage, i am so worried, i am up all night, every night worrying about it.
I'd be grateful for any advice from anyone.
thanks for listening.

In the short term - DON'T PANIC
If the Buy to Let (BTL) mortgage is being paid and up to date the lender is happy.
Whilst strictly speaking you are not "allowed" to live in you own BTL mortgaged property it is not a hanging offence!!
Is this a long term solution for your residence? Or temporary?
If temporary I would be tempted to just leave things as they are.
Otherwise.
Two main options.
1 Ask the BTL lender if they will transfer the loan to a residential mortgage.
2 Get a no fee broker to advice you on options to remortgage onto a residential mortgage. Your credit problems might mean a higher rate however."The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him no good."(Samuel Johnson 1709-1784)
